You’ll learn all about the history of this building, which has been designated a “20th-Century Heritage” site, in the resort town of Alpe d’Huez. Its laminated fir wood frame, modeled after the shape of Abraham’s tent; its “Raphaël” organ, shaped like an outstretched hand; its skylight; its crypt; and the world-famous stained-glass windows by Arcabas are sure to delight you. Marie-Thérèse Cléau (Notre-Dame des Neiges Association) will tell you the story of this highly original religious building, which incorporates the architectural principles of Le Corbusier. Organ concerts are held during the tourist seasons.
