Tour de france 2026 – stage 20: Bourg-d’Oisans – Alpe d’Huez
Description
The 20th stage of the Tour de France will take place on July 25, 2026, starting from Bourg-d'Oisans and finishing at Alpe d'Huez, for a 100% Oisans stage.
On this mountain stage, cyclists will set off from Bourg-d'Oisans, near Grenoble, to climb the Col de la Croix de Fer, the Col du Télégraphe, the Col du Galibier, one of the most famous in the Alps, and the Col de Sarenne.
Competitors will cross Allemond, Rivier d'Allemond, Saint Jean de Maurienne, Saint Michel de Maurienne, Valloire, Mizoën, before finishing at Alpe d'Huez.
The contenders for the yellow jersey will battle it out on the final mountain stage of this 2026 Tour de France.
This 171 km race promises to be a great spectacle:
- ascent of the Col de la Croix de Fer, 24km at 5.2% gradient
- ascent of the Col du Télégraphe, 11.9 km at 7.1% gradient
- ascent of the Col du Galibier, 17.7 km at 6.9% gradient
- ascent of the Col de Sarenne, 12.8 km at 7.3% gradient
With a cumulative vertical drop of 5,600 metres, this stage will be merciless on the calves!
