Description

This easy hike will take you to discover the many lakes and high-altitude peat bogs on the Alpette plateau.

From the Lac Besson parking lot, cross the length of the lake to reach the trailhead. From here, continue straight ahead along the left bank of the lake until you cross a concrete bridge. Continue along the shore, then pass over the retaining dam.
After passing Lac Besson, continue along the path through the Lac Faucille peat bog.
From Lac Faucille, head towards the Alpette ski lifts.
From the path, admire Lac Carrelet on the left. Return by the same route.

The Route des Lacs is closed to traffic
From Grenoble, take the N 85 then the D 1091 to Bourg-d'Oisans. Take the D 211 towards Alpe d'Huez to the end of the road.
