Description

Nordic skiing at l'Alpe d'Huez means gliding gently down into the heart of the mountains, breathing in the fresh air and admiring 360° views and frozen lakes, for a moment of calm and nature, far from the hustle and bustle.

Nordic skiing offers a different way of discovering the mountains: gentler, calmer and in harmony with nature. There's no need to be a specialist: everyone can progress at their own pace on wide, easy slopes, while taking full advantage of the fresh air.
You can enjoy skiing in silence, punctuated by the gentle crunch of snow under your skis, in the heart of vast, calm spaces, with a horizon that invites you to lift your feet and breathe. Taking the Poutran loop, the panorama gradually widens, revealing the Eau d'Olle valley and offering a glimpse of the villages of Oz-en-Oisans and Allemont. Further on, the Lacs loop leads to Lac Besson, whose frozen surface in winter creates a fascinating play of transparency, giving the impression of a place suspended in time.
Nordic skiing is above all a break, a moment to breathe, move around differently and rediscover the mountains from a serene, tranquil angle.
