MELT*by Bonding Elastic
Description
Recordings and sound compositions by Pali Meursault & Thomas Tilly.
Lecture by Lucas Davaze, written with Antoine Rabatel.
Followed by a meeting on the belvedere of the Museum of History and Archaeology.
Melt* is a hybrid object, part concert, part conference, born of the encounter between sound artists Pali Meursault & Thomas Tilly and glaciologists Lucas Davaze and Antoine Rabatel.
At the crossroads of art and science, Melt* examines and listens to an "endangered object of study".
Glaciers' response to climate change makes current warming particularly tangible, and confronts us with metamorphosis, disappearance and concern about the habitability of the regions that depend on their water.
