Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine VTT, has over 250 km of mountain biking trails, 2610 meters of vertical drop over a vast range of unbeatable terrains with scenery of outstanding beauty.
 
Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine VTT, is also :

• 31 signposted routes: mountain, rocks, high mountain pasture, forest, for everybody from beginners to experts
  • 11 cross-country courses: 135 km;
  • 9 endurance courses: 96 km;
  • 11 permanent downhill tracks: 25 km. Training and competition tracks for experienced downhill riders (who have a suitable bike and must wear a helmet), located under the first section (beginners) and the second section (moderately difficult) of the Grandes Rousses DMC, beneath the Poutran cable car (experts).
• 30 km of non-stop downhill tracks on the Megavalanche circuit, the longest in the world: start on a glacier and finish in the valley. (Megavalanche Week - From 16^th to 22^nd July 2012).

• A vertical drop of 2,610 m: from 3,330 m (Pic Blanc) to 720 m (Allemont).
   
• 9 cable cars: that provide access to 10,000 m of downhill thrills in a single day!

• 4 Bike parks: Alpe d'Huez, Oz-en-Oisans, Vaujany and Bourg d'Oisans.
   
• 1 Four cross:  in Bourg d'Oisans.

• 1 Four cross:  in Oz en Oisans (used for the French Championship).
   
• 3 Pump Tracks: Alpe d'Huez, Oz-en-Oisans and Bourg d'Oisans.
   
• 2 Zones North Shore : Alpe d'Huez and Bourg d'Oisans.

• 3 beginners courses (7.8 km).
   
• 2 ambassadors: Ophélie David and Nicolas Vouilloz.
   
• 8 Towns connected: Allemont, Alpe d'Huez, Auris, Bourg d'Oisans, Le Freney d'Oisans, Oz-en-Oisans, Vaujany, Villard Reculas.

Summer Events

WEEK OF MEGAVALANCHE - From 16^th to 22^th July 2012

The Megavalanche is a downhill event which is unusual in that the riders start the race in mass and set off to cover a track of 15 to 30km with 2000m to 3000m height difference.
The race is open to pros and to amateurs.

The Megavalanche is: 2000 participants, 20 nations represented 4000 meters of negative height difference covered in a competition, 6 days of training and competition.
New trails has been established for the 17^th Edition of the most famous mountain bike race in the world.
