FISHING

Alpe d'Huez offers fishing enthusiasts lots of high-altitude lakes (Lac des Bergers, Lac Besson, Lac Noir, Lac Faucille, Lac du Milieu and more) as well as torrents and "rifs" (the Sarenne, Rif Nel, Rif Briant etc).
Fishing will also enable you to discover the mountain environment, in a calm and peaceful setting, full of beauty.

Lake Besson

Lake Besson, is open during the fishing season.
An AAPPMA fishing licence and an Alpe d'Huez "société de pêche" (fishing club) card is required.
Cards can be purchased for a day, week, month or season.

• Season: € 50
CHILD CARD available for Lake Besson (6 to 13 years old): 10 €.

Regulations

• 1 fishing rod (pole) per person.
• maximum of 6 fish caught per day, per person.
Open from sunrise to sunset.
Minimum size: 23 cm for trout fario, arc en ciel, and for ombles chevalier (arctic char).

Lake Besson Fishing Contest

• Saturday 11th July 2009: Contest of July
Meeting point Lake Besson: registrations from 7am to 8am, contest from 8am to 10.30am (6 fish caught maximum), weight and prize-giving from 10.30am to 11.30am.
Starting from 11.30am, aperitif for fishermen.

Meeting point Lake Besson: registrations from 7am to 8am, contest from 8am to 10.30am (6 fish caught maximum), weight and prize-giving from 10.30am to 11.30am.
Starting from 11.30am, aperitif for fishermen.

Careful ! Fishing is not permitted after the lake is stocked with trout until the following morning at 6.30am. During the day of the contest, the lake is closed until 12pm.

Lake Bergers

For children ages 6 to 13 years old
A valid permit/licence and Alpe d'Huez fishing society card are required.

Every Mondays, fishing initiation for children from 6 to 13 years old (children with their parents). Only with good weather.

Prices of fishing cards for Lake Bergers

• € 6 for the season + permit/licence.
If you do not have a national permit / licence, there are several sales locations throughout the resort offering several permit options (vacation permit, children's permit etc.)
