Organ Courses - From 26^th July to 14^th August 2010

Jean-Paul Imbert, titulaire de l’orgue,professeur à la Schola Cantorum, Paris L’orgue est un des fleurons de la facture instrumentale des dernières années. Conçu par Jean GUILLOU, il a été réalisé par le facteur Detlef KLEUKER : 2 claviers de 61 notes, pédalier de 32 notes, traction mécanique, 24 jeux, combinateur électronique. Du lundi au samedi, de 9 h à 13h, cours à tour de rôle, auquel assistent tous les stagiaires. L’après-midi, étude individuelle sur l’orgue Kleuker de l’Alpe d’Huez ou sur l’orgue Schwenkedel d’Huez. Chacun présente les oeuvres qu’il désire travailler. Langues : français, anglais, allemand. Première semaine réservée aux organistes non confirmés. Le samedi et le dimanche, participation éventuelle aux messes et conseils pour l’animation liturgique.

These courses are open to all (beginners or confirmed, amateurs or professionals) and to all repertories.

For all courses: preferential rates for accomodation, concert at the end of the course in Notre-Dame des Neiges church.

Introduction To Gospel - From 5^th to 11^th July 2009

From 4pm to 7pm.
Supervised by Al Endez de Bengbis, choir master and artistic director of Gospel Train-Jazz Aventures.

Physical preparation for singing, advice on vocal training, breathing, learning choral song.

Individual and group support and advice, individual practice on a given work (tone, resonance).
Concert at the end of the course.

Strings in Alpe d'Huez - A holiday music course for young string players

• Students age 5 to 12 - August 8th to 15th, 2009
• Lesson Hours: 9am to 1pm from Monday 10th to Friday 14th.
Beginners on open strings

Have fun making music with others! If you play a violin, viola, cello, or double bass... you will enjoy playing your instrument with other children!
You will have the opportunity to play in chamber ensembles and in the orchestra. Join in the singing and games while improving your musical skills and instrumental techniques.

The course will be directed by Wendy Max and Cecily Mendelssohn of "The Royal Academy of Music", London.

Classical Music Concerts: "Thursday Concerts"

Every Thursday, a concert of classical music (from 09/07/2009 to 20/08/2009) is organised by the association Organs and Mountains in the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Centre. Artistic director: Jean-Paul Imbert, world-famous organist. Organ, violin, trumpet, singing: a beautiful musical season to come!
